Some of us are still getting over the shock from the big match the other night, Liverpool dominated throughout the game but still couldn’t defeat AC Milan who seemed to have all the luck on the night. At Just Socca, we were getting very excited about the evening, it had the build up to being a good evening, and players such as Steven Gerrard and Kaka were wearing the new Adidas Predator Absolute football boots, (which is available on the site for pre-order by the way!)It all seemed to be going so well, what with
Liverpool creating the first opening in the tenth minute when
Marek Jankulovski error let in Jermaine Pennant whose angled drive was parried by Dida with his right hand. Two minutes later Pennant, who saw a lot of the ball throughout the evening, got to the byline and pulled the ball back to Steven Gerrard. As we all know now, it wasn’t the best of passes and the Reds captain was unable to get a shot on goal.
We are not going to go into the gruesome details of how AC Milan won the day – but Steve Gerrard summed it really well. “We can be proud of ourselves. We’ve done so well getting to the final and I know we’ll play in another one of these finals”.
Please feel free to leave your comments and thoughts about the final!
The first ever FA Cup Final at the new Wembley Stadium on Saturday 19th May will be a repeat of tonights game between Chelsea and Manchester United FC, but will this game bare any significance to the match in 10 days time as regards team selection and tactics. Will Jose show his true hand in the game at Stamford Bridge as regards the team that he will play at wembley and will Fergie employ the same tactics in a now worthless match before attempting to win the Double in the final that will be hotly contested. Will Wayne Rooney finally wear the Nike Lasers in Yellow, that he has so far avoided in wearing in preference to the White/Black model. Also with Shevchenko having his op and Thierry Henry likely to be out for Arsenal’s last game when will we be seeing the long awaited RBK Sprintfit Pro in the flesh. This longly awaited boot is launched on June 1st but as yet has not been seen !!!
Are A.C Milan really the best club side in the world after their demolition of Manchester United in last nights game in the San Siro Stadium, Milan ? The 3-0 victory was helped after the 2 away goals in the first leg set the tone of the match, and then the Brazilian International Kaka scored the opening goal in the 11th minute. Wearing the Adidas Predator Absolute Power Kaka was outstanding during the match and along with Clarence Seedorf ran Man Utd ragged throughout the first half of the match watched by in excess of 70,00, mostly Italian, fans. The Manchester United midfield of Scholes, Giggs, Carrick and Fletcher never got the better of Gennaro Gattuso who was wearing the Nike Air Zoom Total 90 Supremacy and showed his class along with a gutsy no holds barred approach to the game. Seedorf scored the second in the 30th minute ensuring that United had to score 2 goals to get to Athens and face there arch rivals Liverpool in the Champions League Final. In what was a clearly uphill task, the tie was ended when Gilardino, who had come on as a sub, scored the final goal in the 78th minute after being put through by Ambrosini. Wearing Nike Air Legend which is due to be newly released in December with a new lighter version, he made sure that the miserable weather that had prevailed throughout the evening was forgotten and the Milan players and supporters celebrated in style and looked forward to the Final against Liverpool on May 23rd in Athens.
April is a busy time for adidas with the forthcoming adidas Predator Absolute “Blackout” football boots, which will be available as a preview on the
site from 12th April 2007. This all Black version of the Predator football boots is sure to be a favourite when it is released for general sale on 8th May 2007. For those who simply can’t wait for 8th May, Just Socca are giving people the opportunity to pre-order the Predator Absolute “Blackout” football boots from 12th April and we will ensure that you will not be charged until the day of release and your adidas Predator Absolute football boots have been despatched.
adidas are also set to launch their new colour way of the Tunit football boots, which will shortly be available in Titan, Black and Orange. This is a really striking football boot and we anticipate huge demand for the latest edition of the popular adidas Tunit football boots.
We have already great demand for adidas’ earlier release on 1st April for their Mundial Team Astro football boots that is already being described as the ultimate astro boots in the world and comes from the adidas Copa Mundial stable of footwear products.
But it’s not just been adidas that have been busy; we have also seen the new release for the Nike Mercurial Vapor III football boots in Navy and Silver on 1st April to coincide with the adidas launch. The Nike Mercurial Vapor III football boots was tested by many of the worlds top flight players for maximum feedback. This helped Nike to manufacture what is, without doubt, the most perfectly balanced football boots ever constructed - and it is the preferred choice of football boots of Didier Drogba and Cristiano Ronaldo. The boot is made from a revolutionary new Teijin synthetic material that allows the upper to mould itself to the shape of the player and then retain this personalised shape giving the near perfect “second skin” that today’s professional players are seeking.
Nike also launched the Nike Tiempo Ronaldinho 10R Pearl, Navy and Gold football boots on the 1st April 2007. What is exceptional about the new Tiempo Ronaldinho football boots is the fact that they were actually created by Ronaldinho himself!
Whilst at Nike’s design centre, Ronaldinho grabbed a pen and drew a circle on the in-step of his old football boots explaining that this was the size of the sweet spot he wanted – and that’s the size that Nike gave him!
Nike is still the largest and wealthiest manufacturer in the world of football and we are still waiting to see if Nike will take over adidas – but are we really ready to see the two different styles of football boots combined? Watch this space!
Puma have been busy with its recent announcement that its sponsorship of the Italian Football Association will continue until after 2014. But is there anything in the other reports that Puma may also takeover English football boot rival manufacturer Umbro? If so, it could see Puma as the world’s third largest sportswear company.
It’s an exciting time in the world of football right now - keep visiting us here at Just Socca and we look forward to seeing you soon!
